The homage levels comes with 2 new graphics. I downloaded a fresh version of Pac The Man X application and the new levels package and it does play just fine as described in the instructions for installation. But if you go to the Level editor, you will notice a black screen on level 20 and 25.
So if you want to use the new graphics in making your own custom levels, here is how to install the images into the proper folder: 1) Download the levels package here: http://www.mcsebi.com/ (where it says ''Download now'') 2) Open the compressed archive and open the ''PTMXLevelPack'' folder that is created. Inside the Backgrounds folder is the images. 3) Find your Pac The Man X Game and right-click on the application and choose ''Show Package Contents''. 4) Open Contents Folder > Open Resources Folder > Open Graphics Folder > Open Backgrounds Folder. 5) Drag and drop the images you want to use here. They will now appear properly when you use the Levels Editor.
You can use your own PNG graphic files too. I suggest keeping them about the same size as the images already being used so they do not look ridiculous when scrolling through the background images and do not take up too much memory.
I hope you enjoy the Homage levels. I have found that they play best on the difficulty setting of Hard, but you may wish to start on the Normal setting.
I hope to see and try your new levels that you create. Pac The Man X is my favorite game. It's always fun to try new levels.
