There is a small team, all artwork is made by Max and all sounds are made by Jens. But programming is my part here.
I forgot who made the levels. I believe I have made the standard levels and I am sure Max made the X levels. You're right: Good level design is hard work and I tried to make the levels increase in difficulty.

Lets see,
If the X Levels are about 25 levels altogether,
and you consume one to two beers per designing a level,
that equals 1 Whole KEG OF BEER!
Now I am really impressed Maxi.
By the way the new Tsunami levels are killer hard. I can usually do a walk through of each level file pretty easily, but to get through those you actually need to score well each level.

Just started playing this version, and I've noticed it's doing a strange thing: after you eat a pellet some of the ghosts change back to their original colours even though the sound fx continue. Seems very strange.
I forgot to mention when they go back to original colour they also go back to same speed.

I just can't not see someone getting the cherry that often, phily. I have tried religiously to break 1,200,000, and I'm still stuck with 1,159,000+. I just do not see how anyone can accomplish the task of gettyong 1,300,000+ on Normal. It is possible! But, they would have to play a nearly perfect game.

Also, I have to reset the game over and over, and wait for the cherry to be the first fruit released. In other words, someone would have to do what I am doing. Reset the game over and over, so that they could get the cherry on the first release. The only thing I can think is that you somehow got lucky and got cherries on all the screens. Also, on the last 5 screens, you say you got 152,000, but how do you do this if you cannot get the four ghosts all at once on Level 25? I do not see you getting all four ghosts on every power pac on Level 25 even with the cherry. Something is clearly stinking! I have a right to say this, because I played an AWESOME game, and I still only scored 1,159,000+. If someone scores beyond 1,300,000, I seriously want to question how they did it, and I seriously want to know how they got so many cherries, or did they just sit there and reset the game until the cherries all popped up with the mushroom? Do you see the insanity? I'm baffled.

I'm not entirely sure what response you are looking for grandgizmo, or if indeed I am the one to answer you, but I'll give it a go.
As for constantly resetting the game until I get the cherry, yeah I do that. I can't speak for other players here, but I am actually prone to resetting even midway through a game if I don't get certain point benchmarks by certain levels.
Playing a near perfect game to achieve over 1300000 ... yeah that sounds about right. And as I am not even first on the highscores, it shows there are at least two other people that have had better games than me. Indeed "yossie" has shown just by sandwiching me at 2nd and 4th position that it can be done repeatedly.
As for level 25 you must have confused me, as I can actually get all the ghosts here. It's only on level 21, on the very first pellet, that I have difficulty getting all four ghosts. The rest of that level however i can get all of them.
All I can think of is that your strategy for the later levels is somewhat limited, as indeed the high score list shows there are 7 or 8 other players who have had better results here. If you can't get all the ghosts on these later levels, which I can verify is indeed possible, try practicing these levels on the "try level" option to get your game up.

Just reset, wait, learn how the ghosts behave and some luck... There's nothing more... I have reached 1.500.000, and i think it's possible reaching 1.600.000.
Getting cherrys in all areas it's not possible (I reached 1.500.000 without cherrys in areas 24 and 25), but it's important to eat all ghosts anyway.

Well, the 6th on the high score list I've done, but I am totally baffled how to hit all four ghosts on the 25th level. If I could do that, sure, I could push my score above 1,300,000 with no problem, but this 25th level baffles me completely. If I could hit all four on every power pac on that level, my score would shoot up close to 1,400,000. I can see it very possible. I just go straight up and wait. I can get them to cycle in a particular part of the screen, but I can't seem to get them together and following me as a clump. Is there some sweet spot on 25 that allows one to eat all four ghosts on every single power pac? If so, I have tried everything, and I just do not see what one must do. I believe if someone figures this out, and the 19th level perfectly where they can eat all four ghosts on a good run, then yeah, I can see how 1,600,000 might be possible, too. But, level 19 and 25 leave me baffled. Totally baffled. Most I can hit is three ghosts on every power pac on level 19, and never can get all four on every power pac on Level 25.

Maybe I'm just being stubborn. I mean, sometimes I'm too much of a perfectionist. What's wrong with top 10 in the world on Normal Pac the Man X? But, I'm an overachiever, and so... you have to forgive me.

I've just started reading the forum recently. I never score a game lower than 1,300,000 and have never played doubles. No, I don't cheat. I don't even know how to post my scores. Also, I did all of this without help from anyone. I am disappointed some secrets are revealed instead of just finding them. I feel if McSebi gives you very little info on how to play the game, they feel you should learn yourself.
My high score is 1,499,090

Hey Ricardo,
yeah if you want post your scores, at the end of the game it will ask you to enter your name firstly for the highscores, then ask if you want to be put in the online top 100. But that option is only when you have beaten your very top score.
Yeah sorry for revealing some of the secrets, unfortunately I can't delete them now as that does not appear to be an option. I only added them as proof that I had not been cheating. And yes I agree you should be able to figure these secrets out for yourself. So I'm happy to ask McSebi for them to be removed if you would like. Let me know.
