I found it was possible to use an older version of the game (with unlimited extras), change the version number to 1.0.9 or 1.1 and then submit the score.
So I reset the highscore lists and only let version 1.1 make entries. This way should not be possible anymore.

Cuz I've eaten all four ghosts on every power pac on many levels, and I'm still averaging the same score on the first levels up to number five. There's no way. I even waited after eating all the dots but one - leaving all four ghosts to come out from home - and waited and waited and waited... and there's no cherry. Sure, if I got a cherry on every single level, I could break a million easy. But, I don't always get the cherry. So, what are you saying amadisdudu??? I know there's something we're not seeing that you know.

I have tried over and over and over again to eat all four ghosts and often times I'll get a cherry and it will be on the total opposite side from me. Sure, if I hit every cherry and pounded 20,000 home for every four ghosts, it would be possible to break a million. I waited for the four ghosts to leave home like amadisdudu said, and I waited... and waited... and waited... no cherry. The ghosts do not double until you hit the cherry. Unless he knows how to make the ghosts cluster and follow him to a power pac, I see no possibly way to get 1,600,000. There is definitely something he knows we do not know. I know there is. I will keep trying other tricks on Level 1 to see if it releases a cherry somewhere or keeps releasing fruit if you way for a very long time, but I don't see it happening still. Heck, I'll just pick a level like 25, and then sit there for a day and see if it releases another cherry after the four ghosts leave home. I don't believe it will.

Well, I figured out how he does it. I figured out how you get the very highest scores. I did it all the way to 17th level, so I can eventually do it. Amadisdudu is right. Takes a lot of patience. But I had 690,000 at the 17th level, and if I had not wasted a bunch of men, I could have broken 1,000,000 easily. So, yes, it can be done. I know the secret now, but I don't think it's fair to reveal it. Just know you have to be patient.

I'm not sure if there is really nobody cheating. Philwily had posted 1.8 million scores in hard and master mode and I had to remove it again.
So maybe there is still another way for him to cheat.

I thought that McSebi had got rid of the waiting for fruit to turn up on an earlier update. Doesn't matter how long you wait the cherry isn't guaranteed to show is it?
I love pac man, but 2 hours ! you must be joking, what do you do while waiting? do you just keep on dodging the ghosts?
GrandGizmo.. does the waiting thing work for you?. I will scan the high scores and watch for your 1,000,000 followed by your 2,000,000

can anyone tell me why my high scores are deleted?
i've got the highscores for both the master and hard levels, around 1800000 for both, and they are both deleted within a day.

and no i didn't cheat. each game takes me about 4 hours!!!
if you want me to verify this i can tell how to get the highscores if you want.
every level (well almost) have safe places where can get all ghosts circling. pls stop deleting my posts, and if possible return them.

Philywily, that is true for some spots, but how in the world would you find all the spots? Hmmm? I know that you can sit on Level 25 at the edge, and they will all circle in certain spots. Now, I know that's the case for some levels, but not all the levels. For you to get all ghosts (all four) on every power-pac, you would have to be beyond GOOD, beyond great. You would basically have to play a perfect game. I got sick - physically sick - from breaking a million. Maybe I'm old? Who knows. I'm thirty-six, so maybe I'm not 20s any longer, but I got sick after breaking a million. It takes amazing concentration.
I also have told many people that I see it very likely that I will score 1,300,000 eventually at some point. But, when I think of someone scoring 1,800,000, I seriously wonder how in the WORLD this is possible? Even if you got the sweet spot and hit all four ghosts after the cherry, I doubt you could hit 1,800,000. I see 1,500,000 if you play a perfect game. But, 1,800,000!??? I'd have to see it to believe it! Play it on a YOUTUBE VIDEO for all of us to see with half the screen hidden to hide your pattern! I want to see it! I have the world's record in one Pac-Man version already!

Fred, yeah, it took over two hours. I was sick afterwards. I had a stomach ache and everything. I see no way anyone can get beyond 1,500,000. I see no way! To accomplish that is a gargantuan feat of unknown proportions! If they get the sweet spots for the ghosts, they still can't get beyond 1,500,000. If they can do that, my hat is off to them. I am truly astonished and bathe them in admiration. I would truly call them a champ of all champs! I just don't see beyond 1,500,000. I played a bad game, and I got past the million. I know I can hit 1,300,000 around or a little better in time. I see no way. I demand philywily prove the 1,800,000 on a YouTube video! If he does it, my hat is off to him! Prove it philywily! On Master Mode! Prove it!

Yeah, Fred, finally did it. I can see a 1,300,000 possibility in the future. I mean, I pretty much played below par on the 1,017,000, so I plan on doing better. But, still, I see no way someone can hit all four ghosts. I mean, even when you get to say Level 21 I believe, there's hardly no way to do it. Not to hit all four, and the time they blink is miniscule. I'm going to keep researching. I know these sweet spots he's talking about. Gonna see if he's right. Sure, you can get them circling, but can you hit the power pac in time to hit all four in a row for the sweet 1,800,000? Hmmm

You know what else I find ironic? The kind of scores they get are exactly double of a real score. Like 900,000 x 2? 1,800,000. 1,000,000 x 2 = 2,000,000. Why not 3,000,000? The total point value for the entire game if you played PERFECT would be around 2,000,000. Phily wily, basically, played nearly a perfect game except for 200,000. I don't see it. I really don't. Something's up!

I tried so hard to hit 1,100,000, Fred. Well, we'll get them next time. LOL
Anyway, I estimate that discarding a few errors I made, someone could no doubt get 1,300,000, if they had a good run. but, 1,800,000? I don't see it. i really don't. Unless he knows every sweet spot on every screen, and he just gets all four ghosts on every power-pac, then it would be possible, but I'd have to see it to believe it.

I know I could get a score close to this, too. This is possible if you got a good run on two particular screens and the cherry. Yeah, it's possible. But, I don't see 1,800,000! No way! And in Master level!!!??? Something's up. Got to be. I'd have to see philywily do it. Also, why is philywily only got 700,000+ on the Easy mode? Makes you wonder, hmmm? Uh huh!

i don;t cheat. to prove it i'll help you out - give me a level and i'll tell you one of the hotspots or patterns you have to do to align all the ghosts.
regarding every level i can get all the ghosts, except for 21, which at most can only get three on first blinking coin.
and i get those scores cause i always wait for the cherry. it's the only way. also I don;t start a game unless i get at least 50000 in first level.
and if i could hack it and somehow cheat, why would I choose to score only 700000 for easy level? why wouldn;t i make it ridiculously high????
the reason i have only 700000 on easy was because it was my first attempt (i also wanted to see if they would delete that). Last time i got 1000000, and i don't see how can get a higher score on easy because there is no discernible pattern. someone however, i think the name was okidokitoby, got double that. that i would love to know how.
as for doing it on youtube, i don;t know how to record the game, but if someone nice would let me know i would try (if it's not too hard).

actually, if the mcsebi admin could reply to this and let me know their email address, I'll let you know all the hotspots I've found and patterns you keep - if they could just restore my scores! I have literally spent days getting those scores and it really annoys me they were deleted.
better yet if you have any associates where i live i will actually go to their place and show them. it is very possible to get those high scores, you just have to think and be smart about how the game works. even on an mediocre game i can score 1400000 at worst. the ghosts have a very specific pattern and it is not exactly rocket science to figure how certain shapes in the game allow yourself to win quite easily.
and finally grandgizmo, just because you cannot figure out how to do something does not mean that no one else can do it. it's just possible there are some people out there who are better at things than you. just a thought ...

philywily, I am only saying we need proof. I know there are hot spots in the game, but some of the levels - like you say 21 - cannot get the ghosts aligned correctly to hit three of them at the same time. Sure, if you can do this... what you're saying... then yeah... a score like that is possible. All you have to do is get a video cam and record the game being played. Then put it on the internet. Also, you are wrong about me. There are players with higher scores than mine, and I don't doubt their score, phily. I didn't down phil the rilpper's score, and his score is 300,000 points above mine or more. Yes, I know there is always someone better, but I have seriously got to question how it is possible to get 1,800,000 points. Sure, if I were to get the cherry on level twenty and hit all four ghosts after the power pac, I would have had - as of last night - near 1,200,000 points. I plan on accomplishing that soon. And, I can see how someone can get 1,400,000. Maybe those hot spots only exist in the Master level? Is that how? I can believe something like that is possible. I mean, I found a perfect pattern on one version of pac-man. I can play it for as long as I can stand or stay awake.
Also, how did you figure out these hot spots? Did you just sit there and research? Try different things? Okay. Yeah, I did that, too. We must be freak shows - both of us. lol But, when I play a game, I'm always out to conquer it, and beating it just wasn't enough. I had to be #1 on the chart. So, until I get there, I'm playing a game every day.
but, if you did do it, phily.. if it is legit? Then my hat is off to you. Truly. Can you do that on Normal Level???

I say we all call Twin Galaxies - the World Champion Record Keeper for video games - and let's see who is the World Pac the Man X Champion! Hell, Xbox did it!? Why can't Macbook Pro!? NORMAL LEVEL only! The regular Pac the Man X. Not Master. Not Hard. Not Easy. A Normal game! So I'm all for it. I'll be there to compete. Give me one more month, and I'll nail score above 1,200,000. Fred, here you go. Basically, there's more to it than waiting. In fact, it's so aggravating and time consuming to squeeze that cherry out, and I sometimes find myself exhausted after playing for the two hours plus. Basically, it's not just finishing the levels and getting the four ghosts. The key is getting the cherry every time it is offered. To be quite honest, there is no sure fire way. Sometimes, I don't even know if I'm doing it right, but it's working. And it's hard to even explain what I'm doing to get above 1,000,000. But, yes, there's waiting involved, but if you eat too many dots, you're screwed. Also, try to get 50,000 on the first board, and the cherry becomes more readily available I believe. Or it may be just in my head.

okay cool grandgizmo, thought you were basically calling me a cheat, which really annoyed me considering i have already spent way too long actually figuring this thing out.
so to answer you, yes my scores were legit, before they were unfairly deleted. And I know it is quite pathetic but i was quite proud that i had the highest scores on hard and master, 2nd highest on easy and 4th on normal.
As for proving it I don't have access to a camera, but i am more than willing to tell the admin people how i did it on each level if they could just restore my scores.
As for playing normal it is actually my weakest level, I think i only scored like a 1400000 from memory. It's the most frustrating level because you can align maybe 3 of the ghosts easily, but it's always the last one, the most profitable ghost, which is elusive. though i haven;t played it in a couple of months so i may be remembering it incorrectly. and if you can;t get the last ghost, it's roaming freely out there outside of a pattern you can form which stuffs you up for the rest of level.

Hmmm. I think it's possible score 1.800.000. In the previous version i reached 1.600 without any cheat (just patience and learn who does ghosts behave in each situation). But after two hours playing is difficult having any kind of patience...
There were cheats in older versions, when some people began to reach scores of 4.000.000 points, but i think 1.800.000 is posible (but difficult).
